Kathy:
I shared a shop in California many years ago and have had my dresses sold from
shops in Manchester, Vermont and Garden City, New York, but my true workshop has always been my home. My children have always
had to share our home with my fabrics, threads, patterns, sewing machines, sergers and of course, dresses, rompers, gowns,
etc. I am presently living outside of Atlanta, Georgia.
I am the Mother of six children (three Daughters and three Sons) and at this
time, Grandmother to four beautiful Granddaughters and an adorable Grandson. I have lived in New York, California, Vermont
and now Georgia.
I have been greatly influenced by my Mother who was a New England artist with
a love for antiques. Her interests were Early American Metalwork, golf leaf painting and furniture/antique restoration. My
Brother and I grew up in a home surrounded by antiques and a love of the past. My Brother, also an artist, has developed a
business restoring early paintings, furniture and houses.
I have always loved working with fabrics and making children's clothing. As my
children were born, I made them First Communion dresses, and many special occasion dresses and little boys suits. As time
went on, I started designing my own embroidery work. Having had my own shop in California, and selling my heirloom gowns in
Vermont and Long Island, I now feel, with all of our travels, that the internet is the best media to showcase my work. I hope
you will enjoy it.
